Heard there's a part time work with great pay

But gotta deal with bunch of kids, shall I take it?

My brain still working on the decision although the vacancy may had been filled up

Had swimming session with cousins yesterday and coconut shake this morning

Thank them for taking good care of grandma after the maid had left

Still we 3 are the free fellas in the house haha

Too bad the durian puff grandma like so much didn't open for business this morning

Perhaps I shall visit it again 2moro

Bye bye 流浪生活

Phew finally 2 weeks of 流浪 on the island had finished

Began with simple bag + camera + a bottle of water, using bus as main transportation method

Ended joining my cousin's family travelling around and out of island as well for nice food

Even tumpang in their new car ^^

Thursday morning was as usual cousin's wife took leave, staying home and prepared nice food for me as breakfast + lunch
Had my first try on Korean instant noodle, a little spicy, not spicy enough compared to what's coming later
Cousin was back around evening, fetched uncle + aunt + their 外婆 from the newly renovated Pg airport
Looks a little KLIA standard but heard it's not as great >.<
The first meal with these trios of 长辈 was in a rather 隐秘 organic vegan restaurant
It was a japanese cuisine based restaurant, promoting natural food as the veges in fried rice we ordered were slightly cooked, but the taste was not bad at all
The shop was also filled with antiques stuffs *I wonder how the owner got his hand on them*
Not many photos were taken within these few days coz most of the time we're just stopping by a place, eat and ciao haha
The 外婆 was surprisingly mobile and active *had been a long time since I've met her*
The day itself was Mid-Autumn festival, had some mooncake brought by them all da way from Mlk
and the moonlight was spectacular O.O

woke up veryyyy early on the next day, becoz we're going for short hike!
Hiked a small part of the bukit bendera of PG, the check point they called as 三号
the route itself was not very tough but it was superb and others were surprised when the 70+ grandma made it up looking as easy as us *clap clap* really impressed alot of uncle aunty resting there haha
There are some simple kitchen tools up there provided for hikers and families
many people climbed to there and had breakfast with coffee, had some chit chat moment *so warm*

Then went shopping + lunch + tea time in the high-classed shopping complex, 1st avenue

Linked to Perangin Mall and Komtar as well

Then the main character of this whole event, my 表姐 joined us for the dinner

The whole family were in PG to attend her convo in USM and had studio photo shoot as well

Had our dinner in 仙景楼 in New Park (some place with this name) and the dishes were too much for us 

(7 of us plus cousin's wife parents)

Becoz most of us have had snacks in Old Town of 1st Avenue right before the dinner

Kesian my cousin had to drive twice in order to send all 7 of us using his MYVI to the restaurant as well as going back home afterwards 

Hence, we used the free time waiting for him to come fetch us (me, his wife and the main character) went to a pet shop + animal showcase shop for a tour

saw some cute normal pets (puppies, guinea pig) and rare pet as well as fishes =D entrance was free >.<

Too bad no photographing was allowed

During the nite also the younger bro came with his gf from Taiping joining us in da house

Total pax count reached highest point = 9 persons

Third day was the busiest, all dressed leng leng for photo shot in studio and the time was a little rush

The time spent in studio was pretty short as we're also rushing to send her for convo at 1.30pm

Sat separately during lunch time (gossip time)

Me + 表姐 and both her soon-to-be-sisters-in-law

Talked about this that there those these blablabla (mostly about differences in her brothers) hahaha

So when they came to check out us, suddenly the talking stopped : P

Dropping her and later the parents into the hall, it's our freeeeeee time

not wasting much time, we went straight for the Mee Sotong near Fort Cornwallis 

This is the most spicy food (but one of the best) I've tried throughout this whole trip

The noodles was fried along with 豆干,印度饼, tau geh, and I heard some tomato sauce

Then added in 鱿鱼 marinated with extreme spicy sauce (appeared super red in color)

Overall, it was super spicy + delicious especially when combined the noodles with 印度饼 which is able to soak up all the taste

the 豆干 did the opposite things in which it doesnt soak up the essence, kinda acting as the buffer, for us to take a rest from the overly hot + spicy taste

Lucky for us to had PG version of coconut shake which I preferred over the Mlk version

the main difference is M's version is ice blended coconut juice while P's version is added with soda

P = more smoothy and much more helpful for the thirst

M = colder with tiny bits of ice

The similarity = coconut juice + a scoop of vanilla ice cream haha

The grandma was super sporty, she joined us in having these extremes foods as well haha

Ta daaaaa the main character with her parents + bf ^^

The campus was damn crowded and it's super hard to locate or meet up with a person @.@

Took some times to look for them and got trapped in jam when we're leaving the campus

Didn't even move for 50m within the 40 mins, then some fellows start U-turn for another exit

Saved us and our dinner haha coz the dinner was not anywhere near

2 cars, 11 persons drove all the way to Kedah for river fishes dinner

Tasted an extremely unique fish (heard it's called as Shun Hock in Hokkien), the appearance of live fish looks like surface of stone and they were almost non mobile *or just waiting to be cooked*

The meat has no taste hence nid to eat together with the kicap

but the meat is very 结实 unlike other freshwater fishes served where the meat pecah if u try to poke it using fork

This 1 more like jelly, can poke and lift it using fork

and the bones of this fish is also very little + simple, imagine the fish head = O, fish bone = ----

just like that, hahhahaha

But we gotta nid the pro to hunt for tiny tiny bits of meat hidden within the bone

After trapping in jam + driving so far for dinner, the day ended when we're home around 2330

Finally the last day, sending the trios to airport + main character to campus

my cousin made us a dessert, Affogato (I googled it, thought it was avocado hahaha)

Expresso from coffee machine + a scoop of vanilla ice cream

Combination of smoothy + a little bitter taste of expresso with icy cold sweet vanilla ice cream

end result was quite nice and tasty, but suitable to be served in small portion only

Will get 腻 if the portion is too big

Now back to KL, home of younger brother of PG's cousin to tumpang 1 nite then only back to Mlk on Monday

Finally ended, this 流浪记 hahaha Time to head home and get back to driving mode 

Quite surprising to look back, I had not been driving for half a month + a day to be exact

Had been depending on all sort of transportation except flight, hence got a little darker but it was very very fun + memorable, what if I do something like this once a year? *run away from job once in a while*

Back to pretty big island ^^

After a visit to the Koh Lipe

I find that Penang can be considered as a pretty big size island haha

Was brought to dabao Liverpool Nasi Lemak as supper >.<

I think the perhaps the boss is supporter of Liverpool or so hence the name of shop

It's served in buffet self service style

The worker will take rice for you then you're free to roam and take whatever you want in any amount you wish, of course you'll gotta need to pay for it later haha

main attractions - fried chicken and sambal

I've gone for the fried chicken but not sambal >.< (just personal taste bud preference)
and of coz my favourite, alot alot of 江鱼仔
Ended up the rice become the 配菜, cause these side dishes had overwhelm it haha
Overall, I'll give it 7.5 or 8 over 10
Rested a day to help with recovery of sunburn
Siok wor 1st time sunburn, skin turned dark red and feel the pain everytime moving the shoulder (Y)
Whoever has not experienced it should try hahaha
And on this rest day, the internet connection miraculously came back aliveeeeeee
and I'm officially back into contact with the virtual world
And then planned an outing to Georgetown with a fren LTX coming from SP to meet up =D
Walked around the old street, bought ice cold fresh orange juice and chrysanthemum tea from roadside stall
had the uncle talking about benefits of 解暑茶 to our bodies as well, saying those who didnt sleep by 11pm shall drink it on daily basis, help liver to detoxify
I'm one of them hahhaha but he didn't know :P
quite like the fruit stall, it works like drive through counter in which the customers juz pick up any piece you wan and eat, then only tell the boss what have you eaten + pay for them
Also visited Clan jetties, although not all of them but 3 out 5

Hand-made colok (no idea what's the english name) lol

ate this 鸿图面 and 炸面 as lunch, quite nice and not too expensive ^^

Found this dead body in the house haha taking out the wings and legs, look like fish? XD

Also spent the day looking for substitute of poor laptop's charger part, and iced-skin mooncake as requested by my cousin

Settled the laptop charger, but cant find any mooncake hmmmphh some1 must had bought all of them home hahahaha

Anyway gonna celebrate mid-autumn festival here in PG = )

Beautiful sea creaturessssss

So on next day morning, headed up to meeting point 

and thought we may see YCH's soon-to-be-frens at that time

When the truth was revealed O.O Ta daaaaaa they were the family-of-threes from China hahahaha

We've totally forgotten the possibilities of them to be the 3 >.<

So ok it's still fine we're joined by 5 others from China, another 2 were husband wife

Throughout the journey, they're friendly and can be surprisingly excited haha

Like the mum from family of threes would come up from snorkeling and shared with us what she had seen etc etc

Kesian the wife of the couples - had sea sickness throughout the snorkeling trip making her only able to hang onto the 救生圈 tied to the boat while snorkeling

This trip despite being cheaper than the commercialized snorkeling trip in Phuket + we're out on the long boat, not comparable to the speedboat

But it's much nicer, more convenient and the service was not any lousier than the speedboat 1

The guide was quite helpful helping us carry stuff up and down the boat, or fix the snorkeling gear for us etc

Lunch and fruit were also provided as usual

The package included 5 island among which we're able to snorkel in 4 of them

The only 1 that we're not snorkeling on is an island made up by natural stone (i'd call them as black stone)

Which looks extremely beautiful and cool haha especially those stones immersed in water looks slippery black while the others on top looks grey-ish black

They said if u've successfully stacked up 12 stones in a tower, u'll get better luck

*this was not ours, we've only got 6 or 7th stones haha*

Reminded me of primary school's drawing on mountain haha

Smaller boat, less people, more security lucky I've brought my cam =D

Spotted huge varieties of fishes while snorkeling

There are more but I have no idea how to search for them haha like rainbow color fish with green lips, 海胆,sea cucumber and of coz colorful coral, some of them even looks like purple color broccoli etc etc

arghhh the sea of beauty, too bad there's no waterproof casing for DSLR 

We're sent back to beach in front of hotel despite we got on boat in morning on the sunset beach *nice service as i've said*

Hence we're like getting free tour around the island hahha

Saw kids with self made boat going snorkeling at water level deeper than their height (Y) Seriously surprised and impressed

Also, Koh Lipe is also full with healthy beautiful dogs

But some are like random mix breed, saw several 腊肠狗 body but the head size looks like normal 菜狗

Met the only little husky on the island, ARGHHH so cute and like most dogs it licks my foot and it scared YCH away hahahaha It's toooooooo adorable =D

Besides, the resort are also filled with beautiful flowerssssss, too many of them haha

Thai Fruit Pancake for tea time

The honey lemon was nice as starter - perfect combination of sour + sweet taste

while the banana nutella suits to put an end to tea time - the banana was quite heated up, hence leave some time for it to cool down + the sweet sticky nutella give a little sense of satisfaction to partial hungry stomach

The dinner was most luxurious meal for the whole trip, cost us 890TB as we ordered a whole fish cooked in KENG SOM (don care about spelling), fried squid and vege

The keng som cooking was intro by YCH, it's thai cooking style and much more spicy than usual spicy-sour fish

The spice covered up the sour taste most of the time and i was spiked when i accidentally eaten it together with salted fish >.<

Next morning (the last day) woke up extremely early for sunrise shot!! But I was a little late haha

This was 550am (the sunrise was kinda very much earlier here) haha

The last day of most trip I've been to had similar pattern, taking several different types of transportation vehicle from a place to another, taking all day long @.@

It begins from 9am the Koh Lipe via bot to jetty, van back to Hatyai, then baru van all the way to Penang

Small kampung island O.O

Departed from hotel early morning, had little time to enjoy the view of 10th floor lobby Hmmphh

The buffet breakfast was included, hence we're not wasting it hahaha

Couldnt snap the other side of the room, wall of glass with view of the busy road outside

Snapped alot of random roadside photos while otw to Pak Ba Ra pier (jetty) due to boredom while the YCH slept most of the time

It took about 2 hours from Hatyai to the jetty and we're lucky there's no other passengers, so kinda like we 包 the whole van muahahha We had the whole van for ourselves XD

Weeeee the sky is cracking *overwhelmed by boredom*

Everything was smoothy until we stepped onto the island and realized

WOW, this is really really a seriously small island haha

As part of my habit, we had marked (labelled) some of the travelers in the same speedboat with us

We've got 3 ah zai-s, a kia-su family of threes and fours-who-had-dropped-their-camera

The resort we've booked was Lipe Power Beach Resort on sunrise beach (we took the sea breeze room) but we're lucky becoz it's the first from reception desk, so kinda feels no different with sea front room that is more expensive

Although there's one problem with the room, air cond not working @.@ as well as the wifi not working

But the boss was kind enough to let us have an extra room, not having view on the sea from the door, but the air cond was working perfectly well

In the end, we had 2 rooms to use YAY! haha

After settling down, we headed for the area we first thought 'town'

Walking for 20-30 mins through the walking street, we're surprised to find that we've reached the other end of this island - the sunset beach

Walking back and forth, we've came to realize THIS IS IT! haha a rather simple island

The other 2 ends of this island full of hills and stones (I've no idea how to call/describe it) haha, hence this description is pretty descent for me >.<

Found a cafe with customers and seem to be busy (we think it's definition of ok rated restaurant)

Probably due to this low season, most of the shops were renovating and some seem lifeless

not even sound of people working or a customer in them

Best thing about this restaurant = stable wifi 

(we've been dependent on this wifi to get in touch with outside world)

Had both lunch and dinner here and spent some times in the sunset beach being 'punched' by the wave

Salty water, but not as salty as the one in Phuket or Tioman (or is it just my taste bud?) haha

Bought snorkeling package at 550TB (much lesser than our expectation) haha

Even if 包船, it's just 1500TB, divided by 2 = 750TB still worth it if there's no min. 4 persons buying the tix

Later the nite, we're told there are 3 other people joining us *expected to be the 3 ah zai-s*

and YCH thought of saying HI to them (they're m'sian too)

Lucky for me to bring along torchlight, it's really a need when we're going out during nite time as the resort is about 5-10 mins walking distance from nearest tar road leading to the Kohlipe Walking Street

Alrite, the snorkeling shall be continued in next post =D

Luggage left me T.T

On this particular Thursday

Hmmm Spent most time travelling around as well

Switching buses from 206>307>308 and I reached the Bus Terminal an hour earlier

Nothing weird/outstanding had happened yet, just thought it'll be a normal travel to Changlun via van

Till I got down from the van in front of T-hotel, then the van left with my luggage

1st response = WTF?! WTH had just happened!! SHYT moment!!

Weighing possibility of getting it back or losing it (seems like losing has higher possibility)

Calming down, checked in the 1 day hotel and started making calls

This is where most of my phone credits got drained 

Called here called there, by the end of the day I had not get confirmation if my luggage is secured in the Hatyai office of this company

Got YCH came fetch me for dinner in their usual hang out place and a brief tour through UUM campus

Very huge gigantic campus site as usual for most gov Uni campus

completed with facilities and even got a site for deer ^^, too bad it's nite time can't really see much things

still thanks to him with his partner for the time (ok can't recall her name now LOL)

To thanks them, I've agreed for them to come for warm water shower in the hotel room, poor thing they have endured cold shower all the time in campus

The food for dinner were quite cheap if u compared to price in city, small town food FTW =D

Hence, spent the rest of the day wearing the same clothes for >24 hours

On Friday, got free lift from YCH's fren to the border

and with last hope of using the phone, I've called and finally!! FINALLY confirmed the luggage is in the company's office in Hatyai!!!

Gotta salute them for being professional then haha *really lucky for me*

I wonder if I can get it back if it's in M'sia >.<

So the mood for the day had been brought back to normal + excited (crossing the border for 1st time)

But then, had a ride in van again from Danok to Hatyai, the supposedly 45 minutes turned out to be double the time as driver dropped off people in several different locations

Hence we're stucked in Hatyai for an extra day (lucky the resort in Kohlipe allowed postpone without extra charges)

So, the option we've had to do is to choose which hotel we'll check in for the day + settled the transportation to Kohlipe

Met up with Tiew, Wen Yi, Lam and Cath in Lee Garden Hotel unexpectedly while they're waiting for van to go Krabi haha, felt so surprised and had a little chit chat with them

Considering Wen Yi's opinion and experience staying in Hatyai's hotel, we finally checked into Lee Garden Hotel (a little expensive than others), but seems like the best there ^^

The view from room was superb (seems like it's one of the tallest building in the area)

Seeeee the hotel? hahaa snapped while wandering around the city

Just love the viewsssss = )

Got our lunch covered, then simply walked around in city

Stumbled into a coffee shop, serving very very nice cappuccino at only 35 TB, I've got caramel cappuccino at only 40TB (low price, but godly drink) The taste was stronger than usual SB's coffee

We even got private wifi used by both of us only *we're the only customer* haha

Had our dinner in a shop rated as very nice by some bloggers, it's pretty hard to locate the shop becoz we didn notice when we've walked pass it in the noon >.<

Tasted their famous kuey tiao tam (滑蛋河 is the name we call it) and hokkien mee 

with homemade gam jiak zui (sugar cane)

The hokkien mee tasted similar but the sauce was not so dark as wat we have here and the drink was too sweet after all the ice had melted

The food were served with more vege + pork than the noodle itself hahaha I wonder if the pork is very cheap there

Overall, it's nice with the price of 60TB for each noodle and 50 TB for the bottle of gam jiak zui

Alrite, done with the food, then we headed to their pasar malam (large as the Phuket's we went last time)

The taxi (motor) we called up accepted the challenge to send both of us in one motorcycle to the destination

3 person on one motor, really skillful of him haha as we're safely delivered to the market

It was our first try and kinda funny to squeeze onto one motor but we didnt mind becoz the price is cheaper and faster than using tut tut car as the driver siap here and there while waiting for traffic light

I wonder how he had held us on the motor with the weight he need to tahan : P

Closed up the night with this nite market trip *back with tut tut, not motor* I bet other motor cyclist not able to challenge the record @.@

Watery day = (

For the coming days that's when the 'gud' luck started

Begins with Tuesday (the day I was too lazy to go out) and decided to just stay in home + wash my clothes
On this particular day, the genius Streamyx had told me to go out and get a life
by cutting off the internet connection and YAY I was left with several options
TV, hard disc or go out @.@
So I've spent most of the day watching movies/dramas/cartoons in the hard disc
at the same time waiting for the impossibly slow drying process of clothes to take place
Also, praying for miracle of internet coming back to life
At the end of the day, it didn't happen haizz

One day was never enough
The Wednesday was spent doing similar stuff with exception of a little worried and nervous
becoz I was planning for my transportation and accommodation for the Kohlipe Trip
Lucky YCH had helped me to settle the Thai part of this trip
while I took some time to go out buying some necessities and used the PG free wifi in bus stop to book the hotel in Changlun, Kedah
The place I'll spend a nite while and meet up with YCH
YW helped me to get the contact number of the hotel as well =D
Night time, went out for dinner Wan Tan Mee + Bak Gua Roti
Wan Tan Mee tried during my last visit but the roti was first try
It is very simple, 2 pieces of steamed white bread + special sauce and 'kiap' a piece of bak gua between them, on the sauced surface
I'll suggest to add extra piece of bak gua becoz it's a little hard to feel and taste the meat
But worth the price, juz rm1.50 haha
Then tumpang wifi at yu yuan's parents geh home to plan my way using rapid pg to reach sg nibong bus terminal
Tats it!! Then I was out for adventure haha

Welcome PG National Park

After visualizing on my transportation pathway I've practiced it!

hahaha, quite easy coz even bus stop have wifi I can still check back if I'm lost

So I set out with excited heart thinking where and where should I go etc

Used 1 hour plus to get on the right bus though

missed the 1st becoz I was still fb-ing when the bus passed, missed the 2nd coz I was waiting on the wrong side of the road *should waited at the opposite*

Anyway, now I'm not the 'newbie' anymore muahahaha

I've even learnt to plan the path to the Sg. Nibong Bus Terminal using the apps

*smart me* XD

That'll be on several next post becoz it's not part of this Monday's activity

Paid my official 2nd visit to the jetty (first was with trip) and the bus station I would say is very systematic

Can easily check which bus you'll nid to take to reach a destination

from 206 switch to 101 or 102 and after a long ride, I was at entrance of the national park

But too bad I've left out an important factor for this trip *weather forecast*

And so I ended up on this heavily raining national park *YAY*

Didn't give up on my aim to see the turtle on Kerachut Beach which is at the other end of the park

and with kind advise from a fren *LZT* I've sort of know how to choose the path to this beach

This was snapped after I've came out, the cloud wanted to continue stopping my next plan

Most of the path was covered by water + mud *so geli*

Can hear the sound cek cek cek when stepped on them, so kesian my shoes nid mandi in mud

Despite walking with umbrella, I was still determined to reach the beach until I came across this whole pool of water blocking my way

I had found it after walking for 40-45 minutes (approx. half of the journey to the beach)

Left with no choice, I had to patah balik and walked all the way out T.T

Surprised by one of them when I suddenly saw 1 closer to me

Still find this curly paku pakis sooooo irresistibly cute

Hence walked back to bus stop and stood in the bus till it reached the jetty (about 1 hour)

Legs sibeh siok at end of the day >.<

Was gonna go get cendol but it rained again when I reached jetty, mmg my bad to forget checking the weather forecast before going out

Boh bian then took 206 bus back to the house to rest my legs 

Met a random uncle in da morning also, telling me his life experiences on how good people are always less successful than the cunning people (who noe how to hide their bad deeds)

Talked begins from Dan Brown's book (Da vinci Code > Inferno) then proceed to used of biochemical weapon > drug dealing + gangstar (he said he has fren who are doing it)

and the conclusion = Don't ngong ngong follow what parents told us not to do, you can do bad things but u gotta learn to hide it, let others think u're a good person and always give others +ve impression, made the black and white sides (黑白道) respect and fear of you

his recipe of becoming wealthy + successful that he had taught me

I'll see how life takes it haha

Anyway, he was not waiting for bus - just stopped by and talked to me, even reminded me to go opposite direction to wait for bus (the correct direction)

Friendly, talkative, maybe he just wanted someone to listen/talk to him

Hence, don't forget the old people in the house, they don wan alot of money from you, they just want you to spend some times to talk, listen, or have a simple meal with them =)
